Customers can see a range of prices, service levels and tranit times entering the postal code of the pickup and delivery sections. Do I need an account with the courier/transport company to utilise your services? No we do not require you to open an account. We have an email registration for customers to access our shipping dashboard. However no shipping accounts are required for our customers to access over 200 of our registed couriers.
What payment methods do you accept? FBL accept credit card at time of booking the courier service.
What types of courier services and freight delivery services do you offer? FBL offer both local and metro courier services, and interstate courier transport. Our instant freight prices are displayed for documents, satchels, cartons, pallets, crates, long and heavy items, ebay freight and interstate car transport.
How much is a courier to / from.......... ? How do I get an instant freight quote? FBL have spent over seven years developing a freight calculator to provide instant freight quotes via our website. By entering your parcel, carton, package sizes and weights into our freight calculator we will instantly provide you with rates on several well known courier companies. If you are happy with the freight rates provided on your screen then follow the prompts to check out and order your courier service.
I would like to track the pickup and delivery status of my shipment? Follow the instructions on your welcome email to log into our shipping dashboard. Our dashboard has been set up to help you manage your shipping. This tool is free to use and can help you to view: booking reference numbers, reprint invoices, reprint shipping labels, provide feedback, book future jobs. The best way to track your shipment is to contact the transport carrier by quoting your booking reference number located on your "booking confirmed email" if you did not get a booking confirmed email log into your shipping dashboard and check the status of your shipment.
Do you provide COD ( cash on delivery service) ?
Unfortunately with over 200 registered courier services on our freight calcualtor it is too difficult to manage a COD collection facility. We only have prepaid methods at this stage. If you are buying an ebay item couriers can be arranged from the delivery side. Simply ask the sender for the sizes weights and pickup post code, organise the freight though the freight calculator. Our courier services provide a shipping label that can be emailed to the sender to apply to the ebay purchase for transportation.
Your freight quote is too expensive, am I entering correctly? FBL have very competitive rates, If the rate on our display section looks too expensive please check that you have entered the length, width and height correctly. We commonly see 100 meter fridges, simply hit the back button and resubmit the quote.
Where is FBL based? Our programmers, and booking center is based in Brisbane Australia. Our transport HQ is based in Melbourne and our Sales and development team are based in Sydney. We currently service every post code in Australia though our registed courier service providers.
Do you offer a freight/ parcel packing service? No unfortunately FBL do not provide a packing service for products we only provide instant freight quotes to move the items. In addition we do not sell packaging or pallets.
I am a courier service and would like to be registed on your system? We currently have over 200 registed couriers on our courier service calculator. If you are interested in being part of booking service please let our team know.
What days of the week do FBL operate? Our courier service calculator is available 24|7 however our couriers will only pickup Mondays-Fridays between general business hours. If you require an after hours or urgent pickup we do have a "next flight" service on our calculator, A next flight can be arranged however can be costly as per the price displayed on the freight quote page.
I dont know the weight of my items? As we are a quote and booking service on behalf of the courier companies we really need to know the exact weights of the packaged items. Many of our customers utilise kitchen scales or slightly over estimate. Many Australian couriers check weight the items at depots if you are trying to take advantage of them and will rebill you the additional charges.
Does FBL pickup from residential or home locations? Yes by selecting residential on our quotes home page our freight calculator will only display the couriers and the relevant pricing for home delivery pickups. We also ask you if the delivery location is to a home delivery location.
How do I package my item for courier transport? As Australia ia such a large country and we utilise very bumpy trucks. The best way to package your item for transportation is to utilise a sturdy box, carton, satchel. Many of our engines are shipped on pallets (strapped to the pallet). Make sure you utilise paper or bubble wrap within the box to protect as much as possible. It is also a good idea to utilise strong tape when sealing your items for shipping. If the item is heavy you may be best to split into two separate boxes, or write heavy on the box in large letters to help the driver out.
Can I ship my items on a pallet if I do not have a forklift? Yes you can, on our quotes page we have two special boxes one for forklift and tailgate lifter. What this means is the quote will be for a special truck that has a tailgate lifter on the back of the vehicle. The driver uses a pallet jack to move the pallet onto the tailgate lifter and move the pallet around on the truck. It is important to tell our team if a pallet jack / tailgate lifter truck is required otherwide the transport company will dispatch the wrong type of truck.
